MEET THE TEAM

Sarah Mein

Course Director

Sarah Mein has worked in a variety of roles in the field of emotional wellbeing for over 20 years, working in both the charity and statutory sector. Sarah currently works in private practice as a therapist, supervisor and trainer taking a pluralistic approach to her therapy work, working from Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural and Transactional Analysis perspectives, amongst others.

Sarah has worked with adults, children, groups and couples. Sarah has been teaching for seven years on level 3, 4 and 5 core counselling training as well as supervisor training, and developing and delivering various CPD courses for counsellors.

Ronald Davis

Tutor

Ron Davis is a qualified therapeutic counsellor practicing since 2007, firstly in Australia and now in Southend-on-Sea and Westcliff-on-Sea. Ron is a Registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. His approach is integrative and incorporates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Person Centred. Ron provides supervision to practicing counsellors and trainee counsellors and holds a Certificate of Attainment in Professional Supervision and teaching qualifications. Ron also runs an Accredited Course on Life Coaching Skills at the HUB.

Magnus Irvine

Tutor

Magnus Irvine is a Counselling Psychotherapist, who works as an MST (Multi-Systemic Therapy) Therapist, with families whose adolescent children are at risk of being placed in care or custody. He has previous experience as an IAPT counsellor, a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, and mental health support worker in high-needs supported housing. He has also developed and run anger management groups in Essex based on Adlerian principles. Magnus is Vice-Chair on the ASIIP (Adlerian Society and Institute for Individual Psychology) council and a member of the ICASSI (International Committee of Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes) faculty. He has extensive experience of working as a trauma therapist both in previous and current roles
