Introduction

When entering our premises, there are CCTV cameras for everyone's safety. By agreeing to enter the premises when meeting your counsellor/trainer you are consenting to be recorded. This data is kept on a secure server and deleted after 6 months. We assume you consent unless you say otherwise.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

How we collect information

The website is not designed to collect personally identifiable visitor information, and therefore we only occasionally receive individual information from visitors.

Visitors choosing to write to us using any forms on the site give their explicit consent (as per GDPR) to being contacted by Counselling training Hub in association with their communication, using the personal details submitted on the form. Such enquiries may be passed to the relevant department for appropriate response; however personal details received in this manner will not be logged by the website and not given to third parties outside of Counselling training Hub.

When you use the site, you consent to the collection, storage, use, disclosure and other uses of your personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We receive your Personal Information from various sources:
When you voluntarily provide us your personal details in order to register on our Site;
When you use or access our Site in connection with your use of our services;
From third party providers, services and public registers (for example, traffic analytics vendors).

What information we collect and how we use it

We do not rent, sell, or share Users’ information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Insurance

As required by The National Counselling Society and their code of ethics, we are personally covered with professional liability & personal indemnity insurance. It's a legal requirement for each student to have their own professional liability & personal indemnity insurance in place from the moment they see their first client when beginning placement.
The property has it's own buildings insurance.

      Retention

      We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods will be determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest reasonable time. Under applicable regulations, we will keep records containing basic information such as name, dates of course attendance and pass date along with some communications and anything else as required by applicable laws and regulations. 

      We may rectify, replenish or remove incomplete or inaccurate information, at any time and at our own discretion.

      Workshop and course regulations

      We reserve the right to cancel or change the time or date of a course.
      We reserve the right to turn away any individual or group from a course.
      Deposits are non refundable up to a month before each course starts. Once signed up, you are expected to pay the full and entire course fee. In extenuating circumstances, your case may be considered for refund partial or fully.
      If a lesson is postponed for any reason, we will arrange for a new date for the lesson. If you are unable to attend the new date, we can pass on the lesson information to you afterwards.
